I was an advertising executive for Microsoft and Yahoo.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Park Ridge and grew up in Glen Ellyn.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be a lawyer.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
My daily yoga practice at Next Yoga in Wheaton.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Kevin O’Leary, aka Mr Wonderful. He’s a smart guy and always seems to be one step ahead. I read a few of his books and have implemented his methodologies in my personal and professional day to day and made them mine.
What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
The Chicago River Boat Architecture Tour.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love the ability to be able to work in the city and suburbs, and don’t forget Naples, Florida, my home away from home.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I believe in the power of three: people, process and technology. My strength lies in connecting these three pillars while never overlooking the most important skill of all: listening. You have to diagnose before you prescribe because every client and opportunity is unique. One size doesn’t fit all.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Finding more time to prospect and help more consumers with the buying or selling process.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Build your brand on social. Leverage past clients. Own a niche. Be where people are in your local market. Networking. Don’t sell, educate. Listen.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
I had a few big wins during my tenure at Microsoft and Yahoo, but honestly, the biggest win ever was the day my children were born.

Traction by Gino Wickman.
What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
In the city, my favorite restaurant is La Scarola but there are so many choices.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Wrigley Building, but like restaurants, there are so many choices.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
People are surprised to learn I was a Microsoft advertising executive. Not many people in the real estate industry have that business acumen.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
The Cayman Islands. The water is so clear and calm for snorkeling. It’s very relaxing.

Build a relationship with a mentor. Be proactive, listen and learn.
