Number of years in real estate: 8
Describe your look: My style is a mix of vintage classic with a touch of modern flair. I love customizing the little things, such as a lapel pin or unique suit patterns.
What do you consider a “fashion don’t”?
I am traditionally the one that screams, “Wear whatever you want!” If you can pull it off, why not? The super-skinny jeans in men are a big “no” if I had to choose one. I mean, we have to consider blood circulation at this point.
Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands?
Brands: Taylor Stich, Sunspel, Calvin Klein, RL, Indochino and Uniqlo is always a must.
Stores: Lucho, Todd Snyder, Banana Republic, Rhone, State & Liberty, as well as a variety of new online-only stores.
What fashion accessory do you feel naked without?
You can’t beat a classic timepiece. In a digital watch era, a traditional watch speaks volume. I wear one every day.
What item of clothing gets you the most compliments?
My custom double-breasted jackets bring in the biggest cheers, especially with no tie and a pair of fresh sneakers. I feel like this style is always inviting easy on the eyes.
What’s the most meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired? Do you still have it?
My white gold rose lapel pin! It was a gift from a dear client and mentor that passed, and it always reminds me of the power of perspective in life. He taught me so much about relationships.
What item in your closet do you wear the most?
Black Nike dry-fit shirts are my go-to when I am not in my traditional blues. Black is my favorite color.
What item of clothing gets you the most compliments?
Usually my jackets. I can never have enough, and jackets elevate any outfit.
Does your style reflect your personal brand? If so, how?
Absolutely. I am always in the belief your attire should reflect exactly who you are in life and business. I bring a sense of calculated optimism with my attire and have paid more dividends than not.
What is your style advice for other people in the industry?
Dress like a “tamed shark.” Whatever your style is, make sure it keeps in line with the type of business you want to run. We can’t afford to lower the standard of excellence in our industry by not dressing the part. I recommend to bring your own style to the game and let your mouth do the rest.
